Deb joins Paddington after a fourteen year appointment with Vail Mountain School in Vail, Colorado, where she served as Director of Lower School. Prior to that appointment she worked as the Assistant Director to Lower School at the Santa Catalina School in Monterey, California. She also taught kindergarten and first grade at St. Anne's Episcopal School in Denver. In 2009, she completed her doctorate from The University of Denver, College of Education, in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. (De) Composing a Garden of Children's Play was the title of her dissertation. Deb is thrilled to return to Denver. Nancy Spillane has education degrees (B.S. & M.A.) from Michigan State University. She has worked in K-12 education for over 35 years. Her professional career was broadened during the decade she served the Association of Colorado Independent Schools as its vice-president and as the Chair of the Standards on Accreditation Committee. She also served the National Association of Independent Schools as a Commissioner on Accreditation. She and her husband Jim have been married for 35 years and have three children and two granddaughters. Nancy enjoys oil painting, hiking, biking, quilting, gardening, being outdoors, world travel, and being with her family. When not working in Denver, she and Jim make their home on a ranch in Steamboat Springs. She is honored to serve Paddington during this challenging time.

Jason Staberg was named the Interim Head of School in December 2012. Previous to this appointment, Jason has been a lead teacher since 2008. Jason has a degree in Finance and Real Estate and also completed the Stanley British Primary Teacher Preparation Program in 2007. He has served as an assistant to the Paddington business office, where his responsibilities have included financial aide oversight, construction project oversight, and the planning & execution of the historic preservation project. Jason was responsible for securing renovation grants for the school totally close to $700k.
Jason’s passion for the Paddington community shows in his commitment and dedication to making the school the best it can be. Students, parents, and teachers can find Jason at the front steps each morning greeting and welcoming the school community to each day.

Ginger Rubey began working at Paddington in 1999. She taught two-year-old classes for 13 years and was the Parent Liaison. She is now the Interim Director. She graduated from UCLA with a BA in design. She spent 2 years at Metropolitan State University of Denver studying K-6 education and studied Early Childhood Education through The Community College of Aurora. Her daughter spent 5 years at Paddington and is now in high school. Ginger spends her free time with her husband and daughter. They like to hike, bike and ski together. Ginger believes in the Paddington "play based" philosophy and loves being part of this community of parents, teachers and children. She looks forward to going to school everyday and knows that it is an honor and privilege to work with children.

Kathy Duda arrived in Denver via Chicago and San Francisco 17 years ago and lives with her husband and their four children. Her oldest son started at Paddington Station 12 years ago, and shortly there after, Kathy joined the staff. She has been the Director of Admissions for 9 years and enjoys having the opportunity to work with such an incredibly dynamic community.

Kelly McDonald has a Bachelor of Art from Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. She studied Restoration of Decorative Art and had her own business restoring 17th and 18th century European and Early American Antiques for 15 years. Kelly’s two sons are Paddington alumni. They love camping, swimming and bike riding !! Kelly will be working in the office this year. Come say hello :)

Niki Shah grew up in Ohio and attended the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy. She and her husband moved to Colorado 11 years ago and cannot imagine living anywhere else. Niki enjoys many outdoor activities including running, hiking, and skiing. Both her children attended Paddington Station. She feels fortunate to be a member of the nurturing Paddington community.

This will be Alaina Seligman's fourth year at Paddington. She Helps in the office on Monday, Wednesday and Friday's as well as in the Squirrel Nutkin room on Tuesday and Thursday's. Alaina and her family live in Golden where she grew up. Her youngest daughter is a proud Paddington Graduate!

Shawn Tuohy-Gaydos is Paddington Station's school nurse. Shawn joined Paddington in 2008, but prior to joining our staff, she was a Paddington Station parent. She says what she loves most about the school is, "Each child is truly valued and respected."Shawn is a native of Northbrook, Illinois and has lived in the Denver-area since 2005.When she isn't in the nurse's office, she enjoys skiing, hiking, travelling and spending time with her family
