During my tour of Paddington Station Preschool in the winter of 2017, I saw little children playing with boiled spaghetti at the sensory table, and I instantly knew it was a magical place. The play-based education philosophy resonated with me, as it was so different from the traditional "sit up straight and memorize" type of education I experienced as a child. Seeing firsthand the joy of learning in the children, and how well-prepared my own boys were for kindergarten, deepened my love for Paddington. Also the strong sense of belonging and community has meant so much to our family. It only felt natural to continue finding ways to stay involved with Paddington and deepen my connection to this nurturing and dynamic place.
