I do what I do because children have always brought joy to my life. My sister is 13 years younger than I am and I grew up caring for her. She has continued to be the inspiration for my teaching career and one of the many reasons I was drawn to working with children.
I strongly believe that I learn just as much, if not more, from the children I work with. I am constantly amazed at their desire to learn, their kindness, their joy, and their creativity. Providing a loving and trusting foundation is essential for children to learn and grow and is something I feel very passionate about as a teacher. I believe a play-based education allows children to find the joy in learning and I have seen firsthand how this approach can allow children to flourish. I believe that the teacher should provide a fluid and stimulating environment that can change with each classroom exploration. I admire the Paddington approach to learning and commitment to play-based learning and I am excited to be part of this joyful community.
