Dear Families,

Welcome to a new school year at Paddington Station Preschool! Whether you are joining us for the first time or returning for another year, I am thrilled to share in the joy, curiosity, and wonder that fill our halls each day.

From the first moment I stepped through the doors at 1301 Quebec Street—a historic Denver landmark—I knew this was a place where children and families are truly celebrated for who they are. Paddington is a community that embraces individuality, nurtures curiosity, and builds lasting connections between school and home. Here, children are encouraged to follow their interests, explore boldly, and experience the joy of learning through play.

At Paddington Station Preschool, we believe that childhood should be filled with discovery, imagination, and connection. We:
  • Integrate play into all aspects of learning.
  • Create a curriculum that embraces and understands the individual needs of each child.
  • Establish a joyful environment that inspires exploration, curiosity, discovery, play, love of learning, connections with others and appropriate risk-taking by children.
  • Acknowledge, honor and celebrate the diversity of all families within Paddington and to extend that appreciation into the greater community.
  • Include children with exceptionalities into our classrooms when it is determined that a beneficial learning experience for the child and the group can be provided. Our diversity allows children to feel confident about similarities and differences and provides them with the opportunity to welcome change and growth.
  • Advocate for the right education for all children. Sometimes, children need more structure and/or more therapeutic supports than Paddington can offer. We will work with families to discover what school settings might be more of a match for the child.
  • Support the role of the teacher as facilitator – a facilitator who nurtures the pathways of each child’s interest.
  • Provide a faculty development program to promote professional and personal growth.
  • Develop a partnership between families and the Paddington team that establishes a vision for the growth of each child.
  • Provide connections, resources, and support for family education and the entire Paddington community.

Our teachers are dedicated, innovative, and deeply committed to making every day a rich and meaningful experience for your child. Their passion and expertise create a learning environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to explore the world around them.

If you are a prospective family seeking a preschool where play and purpose go hand-in-hand, I invite you to visit and see for yourself what makes Paddington such a vibrant, joyful place to learn and grow.

Here’s to a year filled with curiosity, connection, and joyful learning!

Warmly,
Hayley Harang, M.Ed.
