Stefanie Sommers, Chair of the Board of Trustees
Stefanie is a Principal and Associate General Counsel (Real Estate) of Ares Management LLC where she oversees and provides strategic guidance on a wide array of real estate transactions. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, Ms. Sommers was Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel - Real Estate Transactions at Black Creek Group. Previously, Ms. Sommers was a Shareholder at Otten, Johnson, Robinson, Neff + Ragonetti PC. Stefanie holds a B.A. from Northwestern University in Political Science and International Studies and a J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School. Stefanie and her husband, Erik, have two young daughters and spend their free time playing make believe, hide and seek, cooking, gardening and skiing.
