What is Paddington to you?
“It matters not what someone is born, but what they grow to be.” – Albus Dumbledore
To me, Paddington is so special because through encouraging and teaching the children by helping them grow in their social, emotional, and cognitive development through things such as sensory activities, motor gross play, and dramatic play children’s creativity, passion, and curiosity ends up shining so bright and that is so important to me. That is why I’m so excited to begin my journey here at Paddington with all of my beautiful students, colleagues, and families.
When I’m not at Paddington….
When I’m not at Paddington I am usually hanging out with my family, whether that be at home with my sister or at my mothers house, or even with my close group of friends. I have two dogs: a Alaskan malamute-Labrador-Retriever, his name is Zuko; and a King Charles Cavalier, her name is Bailey. My favorite things to do are watching movies, reading books, but one of my most favorite things to do is go to a private karaoke place with my close group of friends and sing to my hearts content. After graduating high school in 2014 I had two passions, one for the medical field and one for teaching. I grew up assisting in my church’s learning program and fell in love with the connection you get with children while teaching them something you love or value. At the time I decided to go down the medical path for my life and had a wonderful 6 year journey being in and out of the medical field and loved every moment and lesson it gave me. But I decided that my true love and passion was in teaching. So in 2021 I decided to leave my job as a medical assistant to become an assistant teacher and also to go back to school to work my way up to receiving my masters in Early Childhood Education
