Education:
Wake Forest University/B.S. Biology, 1998
Wake Forest University School of Medicine/Ph.D. 2004
Year started in the field: 2015
Year you started at Paddington: 2015
What is Paddington to you?
I love that Paddington encourages joy and wonder in all children. I love that every day is different, sometimes challenging, but always filled with smiles and laughter. I love that children are free to build a sense of responsibility and confidence. I love that we as teachers get to guide the children through learning and play and tough times and big feelings.
I hope my students appreciate and enjoy their classmates, get messy, run around outside, learn to communicate their likes and dislikes, and make great memories. I hope they enjoy the growing process this year and let their imaginations blossom.
When I’m not at Paddington...
I enjoy cooking and baking, and I love trying new recipes! I spend lots of time walking my two goofy dogs, and I enjoy a good book. I like to get up to the mountains as much as possible to ski and hike and relax. I spend many weekends at soccer games, skiing with my family in winter, SUPing in summer, and gardening. I enjoy yoga, but I’m thinking it may be time for a new sport...maybe pickleball? I love to travel, and enjoy planning a trip almost as much as taking the trip!
